Greg grew up helping his dad farm in rural Kansas. At the age of 18, he got a job with a dirt moving contractor digging basements, installing septics, building streets, and surveying. While visiting friends in Missouri, Greg became acquainted with Mary, a farmer’s daughter. She grew up helping with the family dairy and turkey operations. They were married in 2000, settled in Kansas and began their own family.
In 2013, it was time for new scenery and the couple, along with with their 5 children, moved to west Texas. They arrived with an RV, a pickup, a trailer, and a backhoe. After 9 months in the RV, Oasis Excavating moved to their present location and began selling irrigation parts out of a reefer trailer and garage. Oasis Excavating acquired the Valley sprinkler dealership in 2014, putting the company in the pivot market. In 2016, they built their store, moved all merchandise in, and opened up using a ticket book and the honor system.
In 2018, Oasis added a computer based POS and inventory system and teamed up with Orgill as a hardware supplier. Since then, an upstairs addition has been added to continue adding products that you, the customers, ask for. Along the way, Oasis Excavating also expanded their machinery for agricultural & residential irrigation install and service.
